ABCs of Surfing: 2Real - Curly by Maoli Waves & Ramps

On today's journey through the fundamentals of surfing... we'll explore our very first product..

2Real - Curly by Maoli Waves & Ramps

This is a particularly important wave in my opinion because many people are looking for a small wave to put on their personal beach.

This wave is 64 meters (that's ~216 feet for us Americans) so its perfect for the small beaches.

Denise Foxtrot of Maoli: its small...its 64 m ....and fast ...its more a wave for ppl that really want to surf in smaller waters and for normal surfsims not recommendable

Surf SL: so recommended for 1/4 sim? I get asked that a lot

Denise Foxtrot of Maoli: yes up to quarter sim ...and a bit small for longboards but yes if someone has a quarter sim thats not only water but even a house and some beach that's a good wave.

Denise Foxtrot of Maoli: still should have the typical 100 x 80 waterspace of course but it will be much better with paddling out etc than if you squeeze a tahiti in

A common mistake that's made on personal beaches is buying a wave that fits the land size. For example, if the average land is 128 meters, people will often try to jam a 100m wave into that space without accounting for paddling on either side or allowing for a natural slope down into the water when you terraform.

There is a to-scale diorama on the Maoli Waves & Ramps sim that perfectly represents what this (and the other waves) will look like on a full sim. You can also buy it right there in the vendor!

Want to surf it? Try it at W.T.M.

The 2Real - Curly in action at WTM (we'll be exploring that wave pool soon too; so don't forget this!)

Look for this vendor board at Maoli Waves & Ramps to purchase your very own 2Real - Curly wave

The diorama is an awesome way to see what each wave actually looks like, but remember this scale is a full sim!
